Our time has come!

This is it folks! Our time has come. Rumour is that referrals have left and that the cutoff is the 14th. This is a rumour however and not written in stone. Rumour Queen even mentions deep in the adoption forums that referrals may arrive as early as Wednesday. With tomorrow being the 4th of July, that means Thursday for Americans. But we are not Americans... and that means we might see something tomorrow. Goodness, could this finally really be happening?!? Will we finally meet our daughter and Cara-Li her baby sister?

Update: November 7th is now an R5.

Based on referrals so far, November 7th is looking like the cut off.
Agencies are reporting that the pay-for-information site has not been updated, but a few agencies are verifying November 7th. I’ll give it an R4 at this point that the cut off is the 7th, and I will give it an R5 that the 11th is not included.

I GUESS WE ARE SHUT OUT!

One person is reporting that they got the call!!!!
Referrals are here for at least one agency!!!! Their LID is the 7th, so they got at least that far.

So apparently some people are receiving their referral calls and they all seem to have an LID of Nov. 7th. The cut-off date is still unknown however. This does not mean that they did not get past the 7th but perhaps that their agency did not have any other Nov. LIDs after the 7th. So, there is still a tiny glimmer of hope... very, very tiny.

This past weekend, a friend of ours had a 'Ladies Night Out' for a bunch of us girls at which she invited a tarot card reader as our entertainment. Anyway, I went in, he proceeded to do his thing with the cards. We were allowed to ask a question so he knew that we were adopting from China by the nature of my question. He quickly asked me if I had asked for a boy as all his cards indicated that we will be referred a boy. HA! That is too funny! We'd have to change the name of this blog to 'Our Journey to DiDi'. Didi is baby brother. We'd have a lot of splaining to do... to Cara-Li, that is!

Could it be true?!?

Word is out that a package was spotted leaving China late yesterday! Could this package contain referrals? If so, by some miracle, is our referral in THIS package? According to some prediction web sites, it could be. My heart hopes that it is but my mind says that it is not. Nevertheless, it will be a very long weekend as we will only begin to hear more on Monday. I will continue to believe that we are not in this batch, that way, if we are, we will be extremely pleasantly surprised!
